From Bhuntar (i.e. 15 kms before Kullu) upstream on Parvati River we reach Zari town. From here we cross the river Parvati & then uphill to Malana Hydal Power Project. Crossing the power project water reservoir & tunnel uphill to the magic valley road. From here we can see the Malan village about 2 km uphill trek. The baggage & goods can be transferred to the village by span system. Its uphill trail & steps up up & up. Crossing the water fall & stream we enter Malana village.

From village its brilliant view of the roads, cattle, snow up the mountains, clear bright sky, green pine trees, village temples, all nature very calm.

The village has 3-4 hotels with basic facilities, room toilet, bedding & food. The popular food is Italian cuisine & local food. The hotels are situated across the boundary lines of village. The tourist have to follow the rules of village of not touching any local or his property & most severe of not touching any temples.
